Lana's Review
Gravel Ghost is the first book in the series of the same name by Charyse Allan. The story is about Payton Morros, a young girl who has been trained since she was small to be an assassin by her adopted parents. She's great at what she does, but like most teenage girls, she is aching to break the reins and have a normal life with her friend (*smirkysmirk*) Conner... But on a mission to Chile, she discovers that will not be so easy, and now she's on the run to save herself and those she cares most for.
...I FACKING ADORE THIS BOOK. Seriously, there is no way I'm going to get through this review without gushing. I love thrillers in general, but this one has got to be the best YA thrilled I've read--yes, even better than Cold Fury (and you can see here how much I love that one)--and that's saying a lot.
This book is so intricately done with such wonderful characters, I find I have no inkling of a clue as to how I can gush further without totally spoiling it. All I can really say is it is a FANTASTIC read and you will be doing a disservice to yourselves if you don't read it, mmkay??? So...buy it...buy it right now now now.
My Rating:
Charyse Allan grew up in Arizona dancing and riding horses. She is an avid reader, but didn’t become one until high school. This is also when she realized her passion for writing, however it wasn’t until a couple years into her marriage that she tried her hand at writing a novel.
When she isn’t writing or reading, she can be found in Northern Arizona, tending her garden with her husband and best friend, while their two kids and two crazy dogs run around the yard. Charyse is also a big fan of Holy yoga, juicing and being a vegetarian—she misses bacon like nobody’s business.
