"Treasured Thursdays" Books I Treasured as a Child

Treasured Thursdays is a weekly event created by Touya over at Reader's Garden that is all about our most treasured. I've decided to start it back up!  This week's topic is Most Treasured Books from Your Childhood. Here are mine! 

When I think back to my childhood there are a few authors & series that really stand out in my memory. I loved pretty much anything by Judy Blume but the book that stands out most clearly is Tiger Eyes.

This book was probably the first young adult novel I ever read & I sobbed through a lot of it, but it was just so good! I read it quite a few times in my preteen and teen years. I don't care how old you are now, if you haven't read this book already, go to the library & remedy that situation!

The first character I think I truly fell in love with was Anne Shirley, from Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. I had every book & I read them over and over again. Anne was such a wonderful heroine, you couldn't help but admire her spunk and her strength!  I wanted so badly to have a friend just like her! And I think everyone can relate to Anne in one way or another!
