Author Appreciation Day 4...........
Amanda Hocking
Amanda Hocking
I really can't say enough about this Author. Zombies, Vampires, Trolls... you name it, Amanda has written it! I myself have read her Hollows series and the Trylle Trilogy (which has been optioned for a movie). Where to begin........ Hollowland, I call it a zombie love story. Remy King, survivor of the Apocalypse (so to speak) is searching for her brother Max and will go to ANY lengths to find him. My favorite part of this particular series is Remy's pet tiger Ridly, that likes to eat zombies by the way, absolutely fantastic! "This is the way the world ends - not with a bang or a whimper, but with zombies breaking down the back door." Best friggin zomibe books, ever!
Then we have The Trylle Trilogy... Switched, Torn and Ascend. When Wendy Everly was six years old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her. Eleven years later, Wendy discovers her mother might have been right. She’s not the person she’s always believed herself to be, and her whole life begins to unravel—all because of Finn Holmes.
And as if that wasn't enough... My Blood Approves. Seventeen-year-old Alice Bonham's life feels out of control after she meets Jack. With his fondness for pink Chuck Taylors and New Wave hits aside, Jack's unlike anyone she's ever met. Then she meets his brother, Peter. His eyes pierce through her, and she can barely breathe when he's around. Even though he can't stand the sight of her, she's drawn to him. This is a young adult paranormal romance with mild language and mild sexual situations recommended for readers in grade 9 and up..
But falling for two very different guys isn't even the worst of her problems. Jack and Peter are vampires, and Alice finds herself caught between love and her own blood...
Amanda Hocking is a very accomplished, well rounded author that can give you ANYTHING you are looking for in her books. But, that's just my two cents ;-)
