An incredibly strong vampire, Jonas was only 19 when he was turned by Lilith, the Mother of All Vampires. A former slave, he delivered his own brand of justice once he was no longer in a position of powerlessness--killing many slave traders to avenge his sister’s death and his own unjust position in life. Though he can be ruthless with his own vampires and the less savory of humans, he protects innocents. He cannot stand for the harming of an innocent, and will do whatever it takes to keep them safe.

Jonas looks 19 but his onyx eyes reflect the wisdom of his long vampire-life. He’s 6 feet tall, has velvet dark skin, close cropped black hair, and a goatee that frames his sensuous mouth. He is strong and very well-built, due to all those years working the fields. He has a deep, warm voice and is intelligent, with a wicked sense of humor that shows itself only once in a while.

Imaginable is the second book in the incredible Intangible series by J. Meyers. The series is centered around Sera and Luke Raine, two supernatural (in a good way) children, who, in all honesty, are just trying to stay alive in a world where everyone appears to want them dead...

I was blown away by the first book in the series, along with the novellas, and this novel was no exception. Meyers keeps her readers at the edge of their seats throughout the entire book, only sparing you a moments laughter in between gasps and, possibly, sobs. We meet new and old characters in Imaginable, and I still love (or love/hate) them all. They each have so much depth it's ridiculous...

My only complaint is I wish I hadn't torn through this so fast... I mean, I realize I had to so I could review it for you all, but now I get to sit here and hope I get another novella.... Maybe I'll read them all again... *sigh* 

Meyers owns my life because of this series... I HIGHLY recommend you ALL pick this book up...like, yesterday.... GO.

Mel & Lana's Top 10 Indie Authors of 2012 & Giveaway

While contemplating our favorite books of 2012, Lana and I realized there were quite a few Indie books that  topped our charts. Then we realized that a lot of those were series written by some pretty amazing Indie authors. We then decided we had to spread the love around and devote a post to the lovely authors who've made us love supporting Indies. These aren't in any kind of order. Enjoy! 

D.T. Dyllin is the author of the P.J. Stone Gates Trilogy & The Death Trilogy.  I was lucky enough to read an arc of Enemy Through the Gates (before Dyllin signed with Dragonfairy Press and changed the name to Hidden Gates).  P.J.'s story had me hooked from the very beginning. And I really loved that it was New Adult, so it was a bit steamier than the YA I'd been reading a lot of before that.  I cannot wait for the second book in the series. ~Mel

Kaye Thornbrugh is the author of paranormal YA novel, Flicker. I got the chance to read this AH-MAH-ZING faerie book a few months ago and it is still one of my absolute favorites (and I am very, very picky person when it comes to the fae). I loved Lee from the start and still wish to kidnap and keep Filo (though I do ship him with Alice...Alice, Lana, they both have L's...). The second book in the Flicker series cannot come fast enough! ~Lana

Frankie Rose is the author of the phenomenal  Hope Series and the upcoming Raksha. I read Sovereign Hope in July and I have been completely besotted with the series ever since. When I finished it, I was sure I'd have to wait at least another year for the next installment. Ada Adams  is the author of the Angel Creek Series.  One of the many reasons I adore Ada is that she took a genre (vampires) that I felt was quickly becoming overdone and gave it a complete overhaul and the result was ReVamped. The title is so very fitting. Kristen Day is the author of the Daughters of the Sea Trilogy. This series is amazingly addictive and action packed and really different from anything else out right now. We really can't get enough of her or the fantastically hunky male lead, Finn.  We like Stasia, too..honest! Kristen has also spoiled us by releasing both books 1 & 2 (Forsaken & Awaken) in 2012. Lana and I have been yearning for the final book in the series, Chosen.  I have a feeling I'll be devouring it in a day as soon as I can get my hands on it.  ~Mel

We all know how Mel feels about this book, yeah? My turn.

I think I owe Mel one heck of a hug for raving about this book so much that it got my attention, because I probably wouldn't have gotten my hands on it had she not been promoting it so much-- I wouldn't have even known it existed, probably. And that's just too sad a thought to even consider.

Intangible captured my attention in the very first chapter, and didn't let go until the very end, and if I'm being honest, it still hasn't lost my curiosity. There isn't a dull moment throughout the entirety of the novel, and it leaves you shaking and biting your nails wondering what will happen next. 

The characters are all very well developed, just like the plot, and each and every one of them has their own purpose, and since it isn't in the first-person, you, the reader, knows exactly what's going on. We are all sitting around a time bomb with a broken clock just waiting, wondering if it is gonna go off now, or the next chapter. Or, hopefully, before someone comes into your place of work and decides to strike up a conversation with you. *aherm*

My one and only complaint isn't even a complaint at all. It's me whining. WHY didn't I wait for book two to be out? Why? The cliffhanger Meyers left us with is enough to drive me buggy. Straight-jacket buggy. That might be pushing it, I suppose... But still. I cannot wait to read the next installment! Meyers is an author to watch!

Hello there fellow readers! Today we are showing love &  support for one of our favorite authors, J Meyers! If you recall, I reviewed this book a couple months ago, and I really enjoyed every moment of it.  Why should you check this book out? Well, let's see what I had to say: 

"The conflict rages throughout the book, always thrumming under the surface. The twins are coping with a huge personal loss and each are dealing with their own individual issues as well. The story is well written; funny and sometimes heartbreaking. It unfolds in a totally natural way; not too slow but not rushed either. The suspense builds and builds, leading up to a fantastic showdown at the end of the book. There is a horrifically scary villain to add terror to the story and lots of room for future installments. 

To conclude, you really have to read this book! J. Meyers is a vibrant new voice for the young adult genre and I really cannot wait to see what she offers up next!"

"And then she knew. No vision had ever terrified him. Never. In seventeen years. It was as if his own life were at stake. But he didn't See his own future. He only saw other's. She suddenly had a terrible feeling that she knew exactly whose future he'd Seen. Her voice was a whisper. "Do I get hurt?" His face contorted, but he didn't say anything. "Oh my god. Do I die?" He closed his eyes. "Oh." The air rushed out of her lungs on that one word. She was going to die. Luke's voice was tight, tortured when he said, "We gotta go." He bent down to pick up Sera's bag again, then headed out the door. Sera looked down at her feet. Their book bags lay there. She should probably pick those up, she thought. Luke was already on the porch, waiting. She reached down and grasped the bags, then woodenly stepped outside. Luke stared at her a moment, searching her face, then reached around her and locked the door. He started down the steps, but her voice stopped him. "Luke?" He turned to look at her. She was going to die. She knew she was going to die. But she couldn't stop herself from asking even though she already knew the answer. "Have you ever had a vision that didn't come true?" she said. "Ever?"

The story, the characters and the suspense were all thrilling in this book. I really cannot gush enough about how much you should ALL go and get a copy RIGHT NOW and read it! Then let me know what you think. I guarantee you won't be sorry!
